Well, Corey, I really see only a couple of problems with that video. The camera shoulda been on a tripod, and there shoulda been a microphone on the kid. On the other hand, for hand-held camera work, it’s pretty steady, and the camera mic did at least pick up what he said, even if it sounds a little distant and tinny.
How about the claim that Grant owned slaves all through the war? It’s (1) factually wrong, even though it’s posted all over the web, and (2) even if true, it’s also irrelevant to anything other than, perhaps, noting a personal inconsistency or hypocrisy in a prominent figure. It has nothing to do with national policy, North or South, but only serves as a distraction from uncomfortable realities, better left unexplored.
Missed the point? You asked how many problems, I saw two and not only that — I identified them. If you think standing in front of a camera talking is a “man’s job” you’re insulting a lot of women and children in the entertainment and information business…. If you think there are problems with the video, why don’t you just identify them?
Yes Connie, you did miss the point. I was not speaking to the technical aspects of the video, but the poor history exspoused in the video and since Robert Mastes was not man enough to do it, I felt compelled to call him out on it…thus the comment where he has sent a boy to do a man’s job.
Myths is what was taught to us in school……I am greatful for Mr. Mestas’ work!!……How about trying to refute some of his points, instead of his video,…..but then again you can’t refute TRUE history. As far as “missing the point” apparently you are the only one, and what’s funny is…..you don’t even know it!

Thanks for your comments Ms. Ward or is it Mrs? But I think you missed the point, but that is to be expected. I would not expect any more from you.
