There as been a flurry of activity on the net today between some of the history oriented bloggers and the Southern Heritage Drum-beaters. Brooks Simpson over at CWCrossroads has applied some heat on the true meaning behind the heritage crowd and has drawn the attention of some of it largest flunkies. I think a commenter on Michael Cushman’s SNN, Tony Gunter, had one of the best comments…
“Your YouTube channel is titled “RedShirtArmy” presumably after the 19th century militia that inflicted terrorism on African-American citizens in the south during the Redemption period. How can you take umbrage at Professor Simpson calling your organization racist? He is on much firmer ground calling you a racist than you are calling him a liberal.”
Keeping that comment in mind, I think it is also fitting the Brooks points out a certain League of the South video , posted by Michael Cushman from SNN, that actually called for the assassination of federal officials has been flagged as “offensive or inappropriate” by YouTube. It seems those who support “Flagging” got flagged!

Is that character that posts under the name “Redshirtarmy” and calls himself “Palmetto Patriot” also this Michael Cushman? I must admit that I have caught a few of his broadcast when I need a good laugh, that guy is a moron! I didn’t know what his real name was.
The first time I saw one of his clips on YouTube I thought it was a Saturday Night Live parody, making fun of rednecks by having a skinny, wimpy, lisping little weasel speaking about how Southerners are a superior race.
Once I found that that he was real, I watched a few more and he let it slip that he had been rejected when he tried to join the U.S. military, I found this ironic that he had tried to join an organization that he now hates and calls “The Empire”.
I find it strange that any organization such as the League of the South allows a person that obviously has mental issues to be one of their spokesmen. Surely there is someone in that group that has enough sense to recognize his problems.
If nothing else, these folks sure are entertaining!
Where exactly in this video to you hear Dr. Hill calling for assassinations? I don’t have a problem with two sides debating an issue, but when one side starts throwing outright lies, that’s another thing. What exactly is your point with this posting? Were you trying to say something intelligent, or just fill space?

Try starting at about 29:30 where he starts talking about “Banksters”! He thinks some government officials should “Decorate lamp posts”…what do you think that means?
You’d think someone who was concerned about countering ugly and stereotyped images of the South would be smart enough not make jokes about lynching his opponents.
But you’d be wrong.
Apparently Michael Cushman aka RedShirtArmy aka Palmetto Patriot doesn’t like people with a different viewpoint to have Free Speech as he removes any posting that is in opposition of his then barrs that person from ever posting again.
Does he think those sideburns make him look like Elvis?
I don’t know much about the League of the South, are they all as weird as Cushman and Hill?

Below is a FaceBook exchange between a young lady (Amber Samuels) that posts on “Palmetto Patriot’s” wall and Michael Cushman. You can see how Cushman, who likes to spout off all of this anti-American garbage all day (apparently he doesn’t have a regular job, maybe lisping is a disability now) cannot answer some very simple questions about the secession that he is constantly proposing.
Amber Samuels How many people really think seccession is the right thing to do? It was a lot easier for the South to do so in 1861 because the Union was just formed.. This government has been formed for at least 150 years now. Let’s face it the South had very intelligent people fighting the fight. Look at the people today! People who are for secession are to spread out. Ask yourself this…..How many people are really willing to join you? What are you seceding from? How is your government going to be run? Its not as easy as it sounds! The South had natural resourses and connections with other countries to trade with…one state has nothing to offer. Oh and probably 95% of people in your state will not want to secede.

Palmetto Patriot Amber if you ask one question at a time people will answer you. If you just spout out one question after another mixed in with negative assertions no one will be much interested in answering you. I for one am totally turned off from answering any of your questions.

Amber Samuels Mr. Confederate, I was not being negative, I was just stating fact. It’s not that you don’t want to answer my question or questions ..it’s that you can not (notice I did not use the word can’t) I am just trying to figure this secession thing out and try to help you in the process.

Palmetto Patriot Amber, consider your tactics here. You asked me a string of questions while throwing in a number of negative remarks about the things I support. Once I point this out to you, you reply that I can not answer you, that you are here to “help” me. lol I have no interest in you, Amber, because of your approach. It’s fine with me that you are close-minded on the subject of secession. But your approach is abrasive and I don’t appreciate it. Life is short and I have better things to do than try to answer a million of your questions while you “help” me by attacking the concepts I believe in.
