  1. I cannot understand why you do not understand why we believe the MoC should fly a Confederate Flag (CBF or 3rd Nat) at Apx…

I could obviously care less about all the cute little names y’all come up with,
but seriously. Colonial Williamsburg flies dozens of 1774 version British flags,
Bennett Place and Gettysburg fly CBFs at their museums. MoC flies a 1st Nat in Richmond, the logical and moral thing to do is to fly one in Appomattox.

Just what exactly in your opinion is the difference between a banner with 3 Confederate Flags on the side of the building and 1 flying free from a pole near the building?

      • Speaking for myself, I would donate money for a new MoC pole and flag, I would travel back to Appomattox and dig the hole in the ground for the pole myself, and would sing their praises. All negativity on my part of that situation would cease, and I would make sure I visited the place at least once per year (they do have my GGGrandfather unit’s battleflag on the wall inside MoC Appx even though they surrendered in NC under Johnson)

But also speaking for myself, Waite Rawls has too much negative baggage from many years of bad actions, and pressure from myself on that situation shall continue until Rawls is removed.

Once those goals have been acheived, I would then gladly pay a membership fee and join the museum.

      • Well not joining is your choice as is the MOC’s not flying the flag. What will happen if Rawls is removed and someone worse is put in his place? Be careful what you wish for.

  2. Of course there are no guarantees of either a better or worse person to take the helm upon his departure, but as it stands now, and knowing what I know, it is far more preferable to remove the current occupant and take that risk than to allow another moment along this path which has proven to be a bad choice.

  3. We’ll punish the museum and all associated with it until it reflects the history of the War of Southern Independence from the southern side, all sites located in the south will do that, or we’ll correct them until they do.

Or, take a wrecking ball to then.

The day of explaining things from the Yankee Empire’s mountain of lies is OVER.

    • Pat,

You seem to have a great deal of anger over the south’s loss to a bunch of Yankees 150 years ago. I hope that you would not take out your misguided anger on the sites that your ancestors fought at…that would be a real shame. However, I think I will enjoy traveling to and visiting the MOC-Appomattox and other Civil War sites without you being there. Thanks for stopping by TBoMK.
