Ya know, Brooks D. Simpson made a snarky big-deal out of it when he discovered I was on Twitter. Wonder if he’ll do the same for you, or whether he’ll maintain the double standard he wields with such expertise…..
Interesting way of looking at it “bible minded” vs Christian. It makes me shudder when these so called “Christians” preach hatred, judge, condemn and even kill in the name of Jesus. I believe in the true message of Jesus Christ, the one that teaches tolerance and love. Forgiveness and peace. These bible thumping bigots use his name to strike fear in the hearts of the ignorant. They underfund education and resources for their community and then they encourage you to arm yourself and prepare for war! I know a man who was lucky enough to get full time with full benefits for his family in the same union I’m in, where I’ll be lucky to even see 38 hours a week on a consistent basis. He hates the idea of a union just like he hates our so called socialist government lead by a black man! My point, he considers himself a God fearing Christian man and yet I listened to him grumble as we watched a news report in the break room about people who burned to death and died of smoke inhalation at a night club in Brazil. He said, “Great now we’ll probably set up a fund and send them money” And, “What are we supposed to do about it over here in the US?” Um, you call yourself a Christian man. Pray for their poor souls. or in the least understand the reasons behind regulating something as simple as fire codes and capacity limits and fire escapes and don’t whine about being a socialist government because need the tax revenue to mandate such regulations.
