Holy Shit…I Agree with SNN!

Well, sort of…let me explain.

You see the guy in the photo?  This is NY born lawyer turned Virginian John Flannery and he wants to remove the Confederate statue from its place of honor in front of the courthouse in Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia.

Why is Mr. Flannery wanting to move the statue to a museum or a cemetery?

ALL HANDS ON DECK – I’m assembling a “TAKE DOWN” task force to implement this policy of removing a statue representing disunion and slavery. Anyone who wants to join send me an e-mail (jonflan@aol.com ) or message and what you’d like to do. I’m not leaving this one as an opinion.

Now while I agree that the statue is in a way a symbol of disunion and slavery it is also a number of other things and it should not be removed due to its historical factors.  So in that sense, SNN and I agree as I would hope most people who are interested in the Civil War would not call for the removal of any historical statuary or monument. However this is where the agreement between Michael Cuhsman’s SNN and I ends.  The reason that it ends in such a fashion is due to comments like the ones above.  First, Whitebird wishes for a return of the Ku Klux Klan in the region to deal with this ”carpetbagger yankee”  Pat “kill yankee school children” Hines makes an interesting comment that could, without further clarification, lead to various and violent interpretations.

I will leave those interpretations up to my readers, but I hope people will agree that the statue needs to remain where it is and comments like the ones above need to end.

It Is All They Have…

As the discussion goes on about the placing of “Secede” stickers on various places in the south, SNN posted this picture of the Lincoln and Tad statue on the south side of city hall in Kansas City, Kansas.  SNN says…

“If our past pictures have enraged anti-Southern elements (and allegedly ‘pro-Southern’ folks who oppose Southern independence) then this latest one is sure to cause their heads to explode with rage!”

As I looked at the picture and wondered if it was photoshopped, I realized that this is all that these “Southern Nationalists” have in their quiver…the only bullet in their gun.  They don’t even have the nerve that their ancestors did to start the shooting.  Not that I advocate violence or wish violence on anyone…even these folks…but this is all they have…Stickers!

And they stick them everywhere…sooner or later the good people in these places will get tired of the petty vandalism.  What the don’t get is that they are just defacing the property of other southerners…southerners they claim to be defending and wanting secession to gain them their freedom.  Will this freedom include the freedom from having their property defaced?

Head exploding with rage?  Not quite…I feel pity for these people who cannot respect the property of those they claim to be defending.

So this is the Heritage they are passing down…now it finally get it.

Southern Nationalist Let Their Colors Shine

As you can see from the three tweets above, Southern Nationalists like “Dr.” Michael Hill of the League of the South and Michael Cushman of Southern Nationalist Network are not as concerned about Southern Heritage as they are Southern “White” Supremacy.  Southern Heritage is purely a front for their disdain of everything American today and a wish to return to the days of the antebellum south.  I personally find their views of history quite disturbing.  What do you think?
