No Mo Reparations…Unabashed Racism and Name Calling!

October 31, 2009

clint lacy rebelMy not-so-good friend, Clint Lacy’s brother Rich, has been hard at work letting his true racism shine through on one of his many blogs…this time on his No Mo Reparations blog.  Here is what he had to say after I commented on Clint’s brother’s childish letter to a SCV member who disagreed with the tactics of the SCV…

Listen Up Corey Meyer!

I’m well aware of the trash you’ve been talking. Now it’s time for you to tell it right. I called a fellow SCV member a maggot for his pro SUV views.

Now I’m calling you one for your cowardice!

I called you and you refused to answer your phone; after you insulted me on you blog. You had a chance to back up that big mouth of yours and you didn’t; so let it go and be a man about it, instead of a spineless victim!

I know what’s got you SUV jerks upset; the new breed of Southerner’s in the SCV. You know that your reign of terror is over with, within the SCV ranks. When true Southerners assume leadership of the SCV, you SUV members will be kicked out of the organization.

SO DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND LEAVE NOW; YOU ARE NOT WELCOME WITHIN OUR RANKS!

If we had real leadership, this would already have been done. However, McMichael is a granny; so what can you expect?

Yep, that is right, Clint Lacy called my house…well actually the house of my ex-wife and children at midnight to harass me.  Problem for old Clint is that I don’t live there anymore.  I am sure this post will also result in pointless calls to my ex, so here is my cell number 1-309-530-3307…give me a call if you dare.  Just leave my children out of it.

Spending Quality Time with a 112 Year Old Beauty!

August 5, 2009

I have for the past week been getting to know a 112 year old beauty…

Home, Sweet Home!

This is her in about 1898 just after it was built…

Winter...

Here she is in the current paint colors…and if you know me…grey is not my color…neither is pink.  Currently, I am painting the house in a new color scheme using a 40 foot boom lift to get the high spots and second floor and I will post picutes of the new colors when she is done.

My Bad…

July 23, 2008

When I ended by last blog and began this one in January of this year I told my self I was not going to let it stoop to the level of bloggers like Clint Lacy and Palmetto Patriot, but it has and to the legitamate bloggers like Kevin Levine and Robert H. Moore II (Cenantua’s Blog) and the many others on my blog roll…I apologize.  No longer will I engage those who are not committed to real history and historical research or at least not petty discussion of this and that.  I may continue to report on events surrounding groups like the SCV and the LoS in terms of how Civil War history is being changed or remembered and as always I will continue to discuss the issue of black confederates as they arise.

So, let me begin anew!

No Time to Blog

May 12, 2008

I know my readership is low but I must admit that during the last month of school, blogging has taken a back seat to my duties at school.  I hope that this summer will allow more time to blog either here or on the new WWII blog…Blogging the Deuce.

New WWII Blog

May 1, 2008

It is usually during this part of the year that my attention is torn between the Civil War and WWII.  So in order to try and do both, I have started a new WWII blog called: Blogging the Deuce

Off Topic: Sounds

February 5, 2008

I happen to drive about 45 minutes one way to work each day and I also spend about an hour and a half doing a rural paper route four days a week and I have plenty of time to listen to the radio.  In the mornings, I usually listen to the Bob and Tom Show.  One thing Tom is always mentioning is the sounds that we used to hear but due to changes in technology we no longer here them.  So, the other night as I was winding an alarm clock to make sure I woke up in the morning due to the thunder snow we were having and I began to think about all the sounds we do not hear anymore or very often.

The tick of a clock

The clack of a typewriters keys

The ring of a telephone…you know, the old dial phone sound.

Teachers may notice this one, the turning sound of the pages in a book. The Internet is sure changing things.

Post a comment if you can think of other sound we no longer hear!
